When Disney and Lucasfilm launched Star Wars: Force for Change, they encouraged fans to donate to the charity which benefits UNICEF by offering them the chance to win a number of different rewards and prizes. Now that they’ve raised over $4 million ($5 million including the initial pledge by Disney), one fan has been chosen to visit the set of Star Wars Episode VII and to appear as an extra in a scene of the movie.

This news was announced through J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Twitter account, and in the photo below we see a hand which many fans believe could belong to the older Luke Skywalker in the new Star Wars trilogy!

Of course, it could be argued that this can’t be Luke’s as his prosthetic hand was given a human-like appearance in the original trilogy. However, we don’t know what kind of state we’ll find the Jedi Knight in since the many years which have passed between Return of the Jedi and the still untitled Star Wars Episode VII.

Also below is the video of the lucky winner being surprised at work with the news that Disney and Lucasfilm would be flying him to London to spend a day in a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Lucky man!
