Ben Affleck Batman

After yesterday’s tease, Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League director Zack Snyder has revealed a first look at Ben Affleck fully suited up as the Caped Crusader standing alongside the redesigned Batmobile.

Compared to Chirstopher Nolan’s take on the Batsuit – donned by Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Trilogy – this version is a lot closer to the comic books, and looks like it will fit right in alongside Henry Cavill’s Superman suit from Man of Steel. The next big reveal is of course Wonder Woman.

The Batmobile also looks a lot different to what has come before and very much resembles various iterations of the vehicle which have been seen in the pages of the comic books over the years.

Meanwhile, those fans who doubted that Ben Affleck (who played a superhero way back in the critically panned Daredevil in 2003) may have to eat their words, as this image personifies the character perfectly and he’s clearly bulked up an awful lot in order to deliver an authentic take on Batman.

One of the key differences is of course the ears. They’re a lot shorter than in the past suits, but these too have been seen many times since Batman’s creation. and with artist Jim Lee cited as an inspiration for the design, they were expected.
