Sky has dropped the haunting first teaser and a new set of images for ‘Under Salt Marsh,’ a gripping Sky Original crime drama set in the fictional coastal town of Morfa Halen. Created, written and directed by Claire Oakley (Make Up), the six-part series promises a brooding mix of mystery, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
Leading the cast are Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone, Pride & Prejudice) as Jackie Ellis, a former detective turned teacher, and Rafe Spall (Trying, Life of Pi) as her estranged partner, Detective Eric Bull. The story begins as a once-in-a-generation storm barrels in from the sea, when Jackie makes a chilling discovery that reopens the wounds of a three-year-old cold case—one that destroyed both her career and her family’s trust.

Forced to reconnect with Bull, Jackie is drawn back into a community still haunted by secrets and fractured by grief. As the storm intensifies, the pair must race to uncover the truth before the past—and the evidence—are washed away forever.
The stellar ensemble cast also includes Naomi Yang (Chimerica), Jonathan Pryce (The Crown), Dinita Gohil (Treason), Brian Gleeson (Bad Sisters), Kimberley Nixon (Queenie), and Harry Lawtey (Industry). Rounding out the lineup are Mark Stanley (Happy Valley), Dino Fetscher (Fool Me Once), Lizzie Annis (The Witcher: Blood Origin), Rhodri Meilir (Pren Ar y Bryn), and Julian Lewis Jones (House of the Dragon).

Shot against the windswept backdrop of the Welsh coast, ‘Under Salt Marsh’ weaves together atmospheric crime storytelling with an intimate portrait of resilience, loss, and the power of community in the face of devastation.
