Black Bear, Hope Studios, 2DUX2, and World Wide Word have unveiled the first-look image of Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie in ‘Anxious People,’ which officially began principal photography this week in London.
The feature adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s New York Times bestseller stars Jolie alongside BAFTA-winner Aimee Lou Wood and three-time Emmy nominee Jason Segel. The project marks a reunion for acclaimed director Marc Forster and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter David Magee, who previously collaborated on ‘A Man Called Otto,’ the Tom Hanks-led box office success that also originated from Backman’s beloved literary works.
A Story of Strangers, Secrets, and Unexpected Connection
Set on the day before Christmas Eve, ‘Anxious People’ follows investment banker Zara (Jolie), who begrudgingly joins a group of strangers at an open house. When a reluctant bank robber named Grace unexpectedly takes the group hostage, the situation unravels into chaos and confession. Oversharing spirals, secrets are exposed, and nothing goes according to plan.
