Jack is back! We saw some intriguing teasers during this year’s Super Bowl and a new batch of stills just a few days ago, but Fox have now released a trailer with actual footage from 24: Live Another Day. The majority of the series was shot in London, and it quickly becomes clear that the city and its landmarks will form an important backdrop to proceedings.

Branded a psychopath and traitor, it’s obvious that Jack is still on the run in this follow-up to season eight’s cliffhanger, while his very ominous, “There’s no going for me” line and the that fact he’s trying to avert a world war serve as proof that this season of 24 may just have the highest stakes yet for the former CTU Agent.

You can check out the first official stills from 24: Live Another Day by clicking here. 24: Live Another Day is set to debut in the US with a special two-hour premiere on Monday, May 5th, while a UK air date is expected to be announced shortly.

The high-octane saga reunites the Emmy Award-winning team of executive producer Howard Gordon; star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland; co-creator Robert Cochran; executive producers, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Brian Grazer and director Jon Cassar. It also will retain the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and interweaving storylines. Set and shot in London, the suspenseful event series once again will follow the exploits of heroic agent Jack Bauer.

Four years ago, Jack was a fugitive from justice. Now an exile, he nevertheless is willing to risk his life and freedom to avert yet another global disaster. Tracking Jack are CIA head Steve Harris; CIA agent Kate Morgan, who is both resourceful and ruthless; Jordan Reed, a smart and sophisticated CIA computer tech; and Erik Ritter, a sharp, strong and arrogant field operative. Calling the shots is James Heller, now President of the United States. Heller is flanked by his Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau, who is married to Heller’s daughter — Jack’s former flame, Audrey. Meanwhile, a hardened Chloe O’Brian, Bauer’s CTU confidante, is now working underground with high-profile hacker Adrian Cros.

Guest stars on 24: Live Another Day include Michelle Fairley and Golden Globe Award nominee Stephen Fry. The harrowing day will have Jack attempting to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever.
