When it was released, ‘The Lego Movie’ found its way into the hearts of both critics and audiences of all ages. Now almost five years on, and after spawning a number of spin-offs along the way, its sequel, ‘The Lego Movie 2’ is here with the same outrageous humour from its returning cast members of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett amongst others.

HeyUGuys sat down with the film’s Lego Batman, Will Arnett and newbie to the cast, Tiffany Haddish (who voices Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi) to chat about the film. Will Arnett also gives us his reaction to hearing that the live-action role of Batman is now up for grabs. Could he be our next Caped Crusader?

Synopsis

The film reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all-new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to far away, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

The film is released in cinemas February 8th, 2019.
