After his Oscar nomination for The Social Network, the only place to go is up for Jesse Eisenberg.

He’ll soon be seen in the black comedy 30 Minutes or Less playing a stoner pizza delivery guy who is forced to rob a bank, but before that we can see him in the UK from this Friday (July 8th) in the gripping crime drama Holy Rollers, in which he plays a conflicted young Brooklyn Hasid who is seduced by a more worldly neighbour into becoming an international drug smuggler.

I spoke with Jesse when he was in London in February for the BAFTA Awards, and he was, unsurprisingly, a highly articulate and thoughtful interviewee.

I've worked in entertainment product development and sales & marketing in the U.S., UK and my native Canada for over 20 years, and have been a part of many changes during that time (I've overseen home entertainment releases on VHS, LaserDisc, DVD and Blu-ray). I've also written and commentated about film and music for many outlets over the years. The first film I saw in the cinema was Mary Poppins, some time in the mid-60s: I was hooked. My love of the moving image remains as strong as ever.
