Despite glowing reviews and great word of mouth Bobcat Goldthwait’s film World’s Greatest Dad went unappreciated at the cinemas last year. Thank goodness then that DVD exists and can bring this gem to the audience it deserves.

We’ve been given an exclusive look at one of the deleted scenes on the DVD and it’s worth a watch if you enjoyed the film and want to see more and it’s a good taster for those of you yet to catch it.

Our interview with the director will be up on the site shortly and the DVD is out on the 31st of January and is really worth getting your hands on.

Here’s the clip,

If synopses are your thing then this read on…

Unpublished author Lance Clayton (Robin Williams) is a hapless single father who has let life pass him by and his dreams of being a rich and famous writer have dispersed into the reality of being a high school poetry teacher. Lance has surrendered to life and learnt to settle with second best.

His only son Kyle (Daryl Sabara) is an insufferable teenager who won’t give his father the time of day. Then, in the wake of a freak accident, Lance suffers the worst tragedy and the greatest opportunity of his life. He is suddenly faced with everything he ever dreamed of, if he can only live with the knowledge of how he got there.
