With only a couple of days left until Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released in the UK and two weeks or so before it debuts in the US, Marvel have released a brand new character poster for the highly anticipated sequel which puts the focus solely on Emily VanCamp as the mysterious Sharon Carter, a.k.a. Agent 13.
Why mysterious? Well, while comic book fans know this character, exactly what role she plays in Captain America: The Winter Soldier is unclear due to the fact that she has been only briefly featured in the stills, trailers and TV spots released for the movie so far. That makes her role in the movie a big unknown!
Anyway, following the release of character posters for Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) and The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), this pretty much completes the set! What do you guys think?
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers – aka Captain America – living quietly in Washington, DC, and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.
