Page, who takes over from Felicity Jones (Albatross) after she was forced to drop out, will star alongside Brit Marling (Another Earth) and Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia) in the indie-thriller.
The East centers on a woman (Marling) who infiltrates an anarchist group known as ‘The East’.
Zal Batmanglij, who directed Marling in this year’s Sundance hit Sound of My Voice, is attached to direct.
