It’s being reported by Variety that Eduardo Sanchez, co-director of The Blair Witch Project, will direct from a script he penned alongside Jamie Nash.
Synopsis: The Possession centers on a young woman’s descent into evil after she moves back into a long-deserted family home.
The synopsis makes it sound similar in vein to last year’s breakout success, Paranormal Activity. Here’s hoping Sanchez will be add his own spin to the story to make it feel original, and not a complete re-tread.
Filming will take place this October in Maryland.
Haxan Films are currently handling casting, inviting hopefuls to submit video auditions.
Does ANYONE know ANYTHING about this? A friend of mine lives in Hagerstown and ran into the production. Apparently the house was really haunted and someone left the set because of fucked up shit happening. But it has nothing to do with the movie.
