MUBI has released the haunting teaser trailer for ‘Die My Love,’ the latest film from visionary writer-director Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin). Following its World Premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, the film will receive its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on 17 October, ahead of a wide release in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 14 November.
Set against the sweeping backdrop of rural America, ‘Die My Love’ tells the story of Grace (Jennifer Lawrence) and Jackson (Robert Pattinson), a young couple who relocate from New York to an inherited country house. As Grace adapts to new motherhood in the isolating quiet of her surroundings, she begins to unravel—not in surrender, but through bursts of imagination, fierce strength, and a wild, untamed spirit that reshapes her very sense of self.
Adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s acclaimed novel, Ramsay crafts a feverish, intimate portrait of a woman torn between devotion and disintegration, engulfed by love and madness. The powerhouse ensemble includes LaKeith Stanfield (Judas and the Black Messiah), Nick Nolte (Cape Fear), and Sissy Spacek (Carrie), each drawn into Ramsay’s uncompromising vision.
The teaser trailer teases Ramsay’s trademark blend of startling imagery and raw emotional force, with Lawrence at the centre of a performance already being hailed as one of the most fearless of her career.
