class=”alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-38281″ title=”Violet and Daisy” src=”https://www.heyuguys.com/images/2010/08/Violet-and-Daisy-220×150.jpg” alt=”” width=”220″ height=”150″ />In April it was announced that Geoffrey Fletcher, the screenwriter of Precious, was set to make his directorial debut with Violet & Daisy, a project with Carey Mulligan (An Education) and Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones) attached.

It seems the project has intrigued another two stars. The Playlist are reporting that both Bruce Willis (The Expendables) and Danny Trejo (Machete) are circling roles.

Violet & Daisy has been described as a cross between Greg Mottola’s Superbad and Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, with the potential to become the next Thelma & Louise, in terms of a film with “plenty of girl power and action.’

Not much else is known about the film, apart from the fact it will commence filming sometime before the end of 2010.
