The first Daddy’s Home film defied all expectations to soar past the $242million box office mark following its 2015 release. This enormous haul of almost $200million above its budget, combined with the increasing star power of Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, made a sequel an inevitability. That inevitability finds form in the sequel – imaginatively titled Daddy’s Home 2 – and this is your chance to see the first look trailer.
Sean Anders returns as direct, as do the two leading men, but they’ve got some competition. With Christmas approaching the time arrives for the new family to come together – and that means inviting the two sets of in-laws. Cue big comedy roles for Mel Gibson and John Lithgow, a sprinkling of seasonal sentimentality and you’ve got yourself a festive magic money tree.
Here’s the first trailer, the film will be out in the US on the 10th of November, and here in the UK you’ll be able to enjoy the familial hijinx on the 22nd of November.
