The Hills Have Eyes director Alexandre Aja looks set to return to his slightly more serious horror roots after the disappointing Piranha 3D with the supernatural, offbeat thriller Horns.

Starring Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe and the extremely talented Juno Temple (Killer Joe), Horns is based on the dark fantasy novel of the same name from New York Times best-selling author and son of Stephen King Joe Hill (Heart Shaped Box), and the screenplay was penned by Keith Burnin (In Treatment).

The interesting thing about this latest preview for the movie is the fact that it chooses to turn the spotlight away from the humour we’ve seen in previous trailers to instead focus on the creepy visuals.

The poster below is also one of the best we’ve seen to date, though a couple of others recently hit which were just as good and you can check them out for yourselves by clicking here. Are you looking forward to Horns?

Horns

Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) is accused for the violent rape and killing of his girlfriend, Merrin Williams (Juno Temple). After a hard night of drinking, Ig awakens, hungover, to find horns growing out of his head; they have the ability to drive people to confess sins and give in to selfish impulses. Ig decides to use this effective tool to discover the circumstances of his girlfriend’s death and to seek revenge by finding the true murderer.

Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Juno Temple, Max Minghella, Heather Graham and David Morse, Horns is set to be released in the UK on October 31st, later this year.
