The big story to come out of this year’s New York Comic Con is Daredevil, the first of four 13-part Marvel TV shows coming to Netflix in 2015 and beyond (the others are Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage).

In terms of casting news, some major additions were made to the series today with Rosario Dawson confirmed to play Claire Temple, a nurse who helps the Man Without Fear and some of New York’s other superheroes when they’re injured. It sounds like her character will be a new version of Night Nurse.

Ayelet Zurer (Man of Steel) will play Vanessa Marianna, an art dealer whose chance meeting with Wilson Fisk dramatically changes their lives, Vondie Curtis Hall (ER) will play Ben Urich, an investigative journalist at the New York Bulletin who’ll soon find himself drawn into a war for the soul of Hell’s Kitchen, Toby Leonard Moore (The Pacific) will play Wesley, right-hand man and confidante to Wilson Fisk, and Bob Gunton (Argo) will play Leland Owlsley, an enigmatic and key figure in Wilson Fisk’s crusade to remake Hells Kitchen.

They join a cast which includes Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Vincent D’Onofrio.

Below you’ll find the first piece of concept art for the series (by Marvel artist Joe Quesada) along with a look a Charlie Cox suited up as both Daredevil and Matt Murdock. If it looks familiar, it’s because this costume – an early version before he dons the classic red outfit – was featured prominently in Frank Miller and John Romita Jr’s Man Without Fear. That critically acclaimed story retold Daredevil’s origin story.
