The Comic-Con exclusive trailer for Suicide Squad was leaked over the weekend thanks to fans who sneakily recorded the footage. However, in a surprise move, Warner Bros. has now decided to release it officially. The bootleg version had been viewed over 7 million times, so this decision actually makes a lot of sense.
Warner Bros. issued a statement claiming that there were no plans to release the footage amid reports that major studios are reconsidering bringing exclusive footage to Comic-Con when there’s a huge risk that it will be leaked online in an unfinished state. This trailer looks great though, and fans are sure to be happy to see it in HD. There are lots of big reveals in the footage, including a first look at Jared Leto’s Joker in action.
