From filming inside a storage locker filled with musical instruments to rocking out in Italy, Stranger Things’ Joe Keery shares why those scenes were some of his favourites. The pair also talk iconic needle drops like “Don’t Fear The Reaper,” revealing it was exactly how Joe imagined the scene when reading the script.
The cast explain how the fully built storage facility set allowed them to shoot in order — “such a luxury” — while practical animatronics, prosthetics, and even a fungus-covered cat made the horror feel terrifyingly real.
Plus, hear the hilarious story of the accent coach correcting Joe Keery… despite him being the only actual American on set.
Liam Neeson is diving into sci-fi horror with Cold Storage, and he couldn’t be more excited. The Hollywood icon reveals he’s “always been a fan” of David Koepp — praising the Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones screenwriter — and calling the script for Cold Storage “a page turner.”
Neeson also opens up about filming intense hazmat suit scenes in Morocco, teasing Sosie Bacon’s “very interesting demise,” and sharing heartfelt words about Vanessa Redgrave:
“She’s a legend. Come on, let’s face it, it’s Vanessa Redgrave.”
Plus, he explains why the mutated fungus at the heart of the film might be more plausible than you think — referencing real-life NASA events that helped inspire the story.

Plot:
In Cold Storage, Teacake (Joe Keery) and Naomi (Georgina Campbell) are two young employees working the late shift at a remote self-storage facility built on the grounds of a long-abandoned U.S. military base. When a parasitic fungus — long sealed away by the government — escapes from the depths of the facility, their quiet night spirals into a heart-pounding and hilariously horrifying battle for survival. As temperatures rise and the microorganism mutates at a terrifying rate, it unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting wrath on everything in sight. With humanity’s fate hanging in the balance, they must team up with a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Liam Neeson) to stop the unstoppable before the contagion spreads beyond the storage unit and wipes out mankind itself.
