The last time these two shared screen credits was in the Tarantino-scripted, Tony Scott-directed masterpiece that is True Romance.

Soon we’ll get to see Christopher Walken and Christian Slater together again as they join forces in “The Power of Few” for Arclight Films. The film will also feature Q’orianka Kilcher (Terrence Malick’s The New World) as a woman who in agreeing to transport a mystery package gets caught up in a globe-spanning plot that could (ominous low-pitched voice) “threaten the whole world”.

We don’t know yet the identity of the characters that Walken and Slater will play, though I would hazard a guess that Walken will play the villain. Anthony Anderson (K-Ville, Transformers) and Franke Potente (Run, Lola, Run and The Bourne Identity) are also on board. Leone Marucci will direct from his own script.

Shooting is due to kick off in New Orleans later this month. Hopefully we’ll get to see Slater rise above the lesser quality of a lot of his recent work and Walken depart from the more light-hearted likes of Balls of Fury, Wedding Crashers and Click and instead get his teeth into something a little more substantial.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
