The fourth film in the Die Hard series divided cinema audiences and Die Hard die hards. Its deviation form the previous three films made it an odd end to the story of John McClane.

Fear not though, as there’s an update to the comment Bruce Willis made recently about a probable fifth Die Hard film, there’s a new writer on board – Skip Woods.

Here’s what RiskyBusiness had to say,

“Hitman” screenwriter Skip Woods is in negotiations with Fox to take a crack at a new “Die Hard” script. The New York cop known for consistently being in the wrong place at the right time has already survived four run-ins with terrorists, traitors and psychotic loose cannons of one stripe or another.

Woods also had a hand in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine and A-Team scripts and Swordfish was one of his so he’s got the right pedigree as far as action movies go, and as there’s no casting or plot details we can all speculate at where John McClane will end up this time.

Die Harderer, perhaps?
