We reported yesterday that the Battleship movie had been budgeted at around 0 million. You may be wondering what Universal could possibly be spending such a large sum of money on, particularly in the instance of a game which could plausibly be played with two sheets of squared paper and a pen, but it certainly doesn’t appear to be the cast anyway.
Sports Illustrated model, and unsuccessful contender to replace Megan Fox in Transformers 3, Brooklyn Decker has joined a cast which already includes Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Tom Arnold and singer Rihanna. While the current line up contains a few recognisable names, they can hardly be called big stars. None more so than Decker who makes her big screen début in Dennis Durgen’s upcoming comedy Just Go With It .
Due to go into production in September of this year, and aiming for a still-distant May 18th, 2012 release date, we can only watch in dumb-founded horror as this strange beast pays its way to the screen.
