This evening the 2017 London Film Festival opened its doors to the public with the directorial debut of Andy Serkis. It is a well deserved nod to one of the brightest stars in the UK Film Industry’s sky, having pioneered a new type of performance capture, he has finally stepped behind the camera for his new film, Breathe.

The film stars Diana Rigg, Claire Foy, Andrew Garfield, Dean-Charles Chapman, Tom Hollander, Hugh Bonneville, and was written by William Nicholson. It is a tender look at a relationship put under great strain tale when a life-altering illness is diagnosed. Serkis has confidence behind the camera and Claire Foy will no doubt receive some well deserved plaudits for her mesmerising role.

The film is released in the US on the 13th of October, and the 27th of October in the UK.
