Marketing for Matt Reeves’ Let Me In – starring Chloe Moretz, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Richard Jenkins – has stepped up over the past few days. Not only did a panel for the film present footage at Comic-Con this past weekend, but a few new images and posters have turned up as well, which we posted here.  The latest poster, showing a bloodstained snow-angel was posted earlier today by Shockya.

Let Me In is adapted from John Ajvide Lindqvist’s acclaimed novel Let The Right One In. Thomas Alfredson’s 2008 Swedish adaptation was critically-lauded by both critics and audiences, and has been cherished by film lovers ever since, so there’s been a level of scepticism surrounding Reeves’ version. However, it seems that the footage shown at Comic-Con has already converted some sceptics in favour of Reeves’ version.

Synopsis: Chloe Moretz stars as Abby, a secretive 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and, in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbor. Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupies the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.

Let Me In will hit UK cinemas on October 29, 2010.
