Blake Lively is set to star in Lionsgate’s upcoming romantic comedy ‘The Survival List,’ described as an “action romantic comedy” with a sharp twist on the stranded-on-an-island formula.

Lively will play Annie, a sophisticated reality TV producer reluctantly assigned to helm a new show hosted by celebrity survivalist Chopper Lane. But when a shipwreck strands the pair on a deserted island, Annie quickly learns that Chopper’s rugged persona is nothing more than smoke and mirrors—he has no survival skills at all. With the cameras off and no crew in sight, Annie is forced to take control to keep them alive. As the mismatched duo face the elements, they begin to discover an unexpected spark of chemistry amid the chaos.

The role of Chopper Lane has yet to be cast, leaving room for plenty of speculation about who might join Lively in the romantic two-hander.
