As is tradition here in Blighty, when the Champions League final rolls around and every football loving man and woman hit their local pub to watch their team revel in victory or crush in defeat whilst downing countless numbers of Carling because it’s the only bloody beer that appears to be cheaper on a football night, Activision – everyone’s favourite game publisher – will throw an advert in for their latest ‘Call of Duty’. It’s no different this year, as the upcoming ‘Black Ops 2’ will get its UK television premiere between the footy this year, too.

The ad apparently won’t just be a cut down version of the trailer we’ve already seen, and will feature new campaign footage and, presumably, a ‘pre order now for Xbox 360’ at the end.

Keep an eye out then from 7.45 on Saturday night on itv1. Just don’t be so angry to turn over before it airs because you have no conceivable idea why Andy Townsend has managed to blag a commentary spot. Grrr.

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’ is released on the 13th November 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Maybe even Wii U, BRING ON E3!
