Prime Video has released the official trailer for ‘Bait,’ the highly anticipated new comedy series created by and starring Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Riz Ahmed.

In ‘Bait,’ Ahmed plays Shah Latif, a struggling actor whose career is hanging by a thread. Just when it seems like his dreams might slip away for good, he lands what could be the audition of a lifetime. What follows is a whirlwind four-day stretch in which Shah’s life spirals spectacularly out of control. As the opportunity grows closer, everyone around him suddenly has an opinion on whether he is truly the right man for the job.

Between meddling relatives, complicated past relationships, and the internet weighing in with ruthless commentary, Shah finds himself navigating an emotional and comedic minefield while trying to keep his shot at fame alive.

The series features a strong supporting ensemble including Guz Khan as Zulfi, Sheeba Chaddha as Tahira, Sajid Hasan as Parvez, Aasiya Shah as Q, Weruche Opia as Felicia, and Ritu Arya as Yasmin.

‘Bait’ is executive produced by Ahmed and Allie Moore for Left Handed, with Jake Fuller producing on behalf of Jax Media. Ben Karlin serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Ahmed, who also writes for the series.
