A24 has released the first teaser trailer for ‘Backrooms,’ a nerve-fraying descent into the uncanny that turns a mundane furniture showroom into the mouth of something far more unsettling. In the brief but deeply atmospheric preview, a strange doorway materialises in the basement of a retail space, inviting curiosity with one hand and dread with the other.
Directed by Kane Parsons, the film expands on the viral horror mythos that has haunted the corners of the internet for years, transforming liminal space into a labyrinth of existential terror.
The cast is an ensemble led by Chiwetel Ejiofor, whose gravitas suggests a character grappling with forces beyond comprehension. He is joined by Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, and Lukita Maxwell.
