A zombie movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger could either be described as being a very fun or very dumb idea. However, Maggie looks like a very different take on the genre (it’s not exactly Terminator meets The Walking Dead) and it should give the Terminator Genesys star a chance to show off his serious side.
Maggie will see Schwarzenegger play a Midwestern farmer who cares for his teenage daughter (Zombieland and Little Miss Sunshine’s Abigail Breslin) as she slowly transforms into a zombie. Based on this new trailer for the movie, Maggie is going to be a rather sombre outing, and it’s definitely an intriguing premise.
Directed by Henry Hobson, Maggie also stars Joely Richardson, Laura Cayouette, and Dana Gourrier.
This trailer heaps plenty of praise on Schwarzenegger and the movie itself, so Maggie might just end up being one of 2015’s most pleasant surprises. The actor has found mixed success since returning to acting, but this and Terminator Genisys (see a new motion poster by clicking here) should turn things around.
