Are You Ready For The Norwegian Ninja?

I’ll be honest, I’m an absolute sucker for seemingly ridiculous film titles and being a fan of exploitation cinema I often end up watching a lot of films with pretty crazy titles. I therefore instantly want to see a film with a title like Norwegian Ninja, how could you not. Watching the trailer I was convinced as this looks like a lot of fun and the skewed approach that the filmmakers appear to have taken could make this really enjoyable.

The wonderful people at Twitch have posted the trailer and synopsis and the poster above (click on it to see it in full) comes from the film’s official blog. The film is supposed to be based on a true story but I was a little sceptical after the sequence that followed this statement in the trailer featured a man with electrical bolts coming out of his fists.

Synopsis: Kommandør Treholt & Ninjatroppen is the true story of how Commander Arne Treholt and his Ninja Force saved Norway during the Cold War. The story takes place in the time right before Treholt’s arrest on espionage charges in 1984, and reveals a spectacularly different version of our recent past than has been previously known.
