Anya Taylor-Joy has been cast in the upcoming limited series adaptation of ‘Lucky’ at Apple.
Based on the Marissa Stapley novel of the same name, Taylor-Joy will star as a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.
A selection for Reese Witherspoon‘s Reese’s Book Club, Taylor-Joy will also serve as an executive producer on the project. Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas are adapting the book for the screen and will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Tropper executive produces under his overall deal with Apple. Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter executive produce for Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media. Taylor-Joy executive produces under her Ladykiller Films banner. Apple Studios will produce.
Taylor-Joy, who recently starred in ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ and won a Golden Globe for her role in Netflix series ‘The Queen’s Gambit.’ will also star in the upcoming Apple Original Films project ‘The Gorge.’
