We’re two weeks away from having seven shades of sleeplessness scared out of us by Jackie Earle Haley as the rebooted Freddy Krueger in Samuel Bayer’s A Nightmare on Elm Street and if the profusion of media from the clawfingered one’s next bedtime story hasn’t whetted/dulled your appetite allow me to present a new clip from the film.
It’s a short clip, but is exactly what you’d expect from this film, and it follows the other clips (all available here) in having Freddy torment a teenage girl with just the right amount of predatory insouciance.
Here Rooney Mara’s character Nancty has an exchange with the scarfaced scoundrel and it professes to be both chilly and chilling. I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it has the desired effect.
