Sony Pictures has unleashed the official trailer for ‘Anaconda,’ a wild action-comedy directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent). The film slithers into cinemas just in time for the holidays, landing exclusively this Christmas.

Starring Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello, the movie takes audiences on a chaotic, laugh-out-loud—and unexpectedly dangerous—journey deep into the Amazon.

The story follows Doug (Black) and Griff (Rudd), inseparable best friends since childhood, who have long fantasised about remaking their favourite “cinematic classic”: Anaconda. When a midlife crisis inspires them to finally pursue their dream, they set out to film their passion project on location in the Amazon. But what starts as a bumbling DIY movie shoot quickly spirals out of control when the duo come face-to-face with a very real—and very massive—anaconda.

With their ragtag crew—including Zahn, Newton, Melchior, and Mello—caught in a deadly mix of comedy and creature-feature terror, the question becomes: will they survive long enough to finish the movie, or will the jungle claim its next victims?

Packed with Gormican’s trademark blend of absurd humour and meta-movie mayhem, ‘Anaconda’ promises to be the ultimate big-screen holiday event—equal parts hilarious buddy comedy and edge-of-your-seat jungle thriller.
