Alita: Battle Angel is James Cameron’s long gestating manga-inspired cyberpunk action film, now come to the big screen directed by Robert Rodriguez. Cyborgs! Killer Combat! A girl with CG eyes! The film stars Rosa Salazar in the title role, with supporting roles from Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Green Book’s Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley, Lana Condor and Keean Johnson. It is based on Yukito Kishiro’s manga Gunnm, also known as Battle Angel Alita.

The film had its world premiere in London this evening and we spoke to the assembled cast and crew to uncover the secrets to the allure of Alita and the strange future she inhabits.

The film is produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, and directed from the adaptation screenplay by Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis.

The film hits arrives in cinemas in the UK on the 6th of February, 2019 and in the US on Valentine’s Day, 2019. Scott Davis and Colin Hart were on the red carpet and conducted these interviews.

Plot:
