This Saturday The Guardian is pulling out all the stops as not only are they giving away the DVD of the classic movie “Airplane” but they’re also trying to set up a synchronised liveblogging and tweeting (follow us here @HeyUGuysBlog) event to go with it.
The theory is that we all start the movie at an agreed time and then as we watch it in the comfort of our own homes we tweet about the movie, the inebriated friends we inadvisedly invited over, the humorous antics of the family pet or alternatively indulge in nostalgic observations such as “They don’t make films like this any more“.
They’re yet to decide what time they’re going to kick off at but if you head on over to the Guardian’s page here you’ll find out once they’ve worked out when’s best.
Even if you don’t want to join in the social media part you can always pick up the DVD for the bargain price of a copy of The Guardian should you not be the proud owner of one already.
