Rachel-McAdams-and-Domhnall-Gleeson-in-About-TimeRichard Curtis made his feature directorial debut back in 2003 with Love Actually. He followed it up with 2009’s brilliant The Boat That Rocked. And this year, he returns behind the camera for his third outing to bring us About Time.

Led by Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson, the film is by far one of the year’s most promising films, particularly amongst those coming out of Britain.

With its March release date fast approaching, we’re expect the first trailer to land very soon. And in the meantime, we’ve got another great new image of McAdams and Gleeson in the leads to share, following the first official image we saw late last year.

“The night after another unsatisfactory New Year’s party, 21-year old Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) discovers he can time travel! Tim won’t be able to change history, but he can change what happens in his own life. He decides to make his world a better place by getting a girlfriend. Sadly, dating via time travel is as tricky as it sounds…”

McAdams (Sherlock Holmes) and Gleeson (Anna Karenina) top an excellent cast, joined by Tom Hollander (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End), Bill Nighy (Love Actually), Margot Robbie (Pan Am), Lydia Wilson (Never Let Me Go), and Lindsay Duncan (Alice in Wonderland).

Curtis is once more directing from his own screenplay, and we can’t wait to see his third feature behind the camera.

About Time will be released in the UK on 22nd March, and has its US release date set for 10th May. I can’t wait. The addition of sci-fi elements alongside the romantic comedy-drama is especially intriguing, and sounds like it should make for one of the year’s best and most memorable films.
