Sarah-SilvermanSeth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West has been coming along brilliantly in recent weeks.

MacFarlane’s sophomore feature follows the awesome success he found last year with Ted, and he’ll be taking the leading role himself once more this time around.

Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried were the first to come on board. And they were soon followed by Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson earlier in the month.

Now THR report that Sarah Silverman (Wreck-It Ralph), well known for her comedy work, is in talks to join the cast as well.

A Million Ways to Die in the West follows a cowardly sheep farmer (MacFarlane) who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend (Seyfried) leave him for another man. When a mysterious woman (Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage. But when her outlaw husband arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.

Silverman’s role is thought to be that of a prostitute, who engages in all sorts of lewd activities, but who refuses to have sex with her fiancé (Ribisi), until the two are married.

MacFarlane will be directing from a script he co-wrote with frequent collaborators Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild (Family Guy, Ted), and he’ll also produce alongside Scott Stuber and Jason Clark.

Silverman is coming off the back of lending her voice to Disney’s successful Wreck-It Ralph, and has also been lending her voice on the small screen in the likes of Bob’s Burgers (if you aren’t yet watching this show, then you should start right now) and The Simpsons.

A Million Ways to Die in the West is due to start production in May. It looks as though the cast is nearing completion, and it’s definitely one that we’re looking forward to seeing. More as we get it.
