A creepy new trailer has been admitted for Gore Verbinski’s A Cure for Wellness has arrived, and we’re not sure how beneficial the treatment offered here truly is. In fact, as the trailer unfurls the basics of the story we’re not entirely sure that there’s not something terribly wrong here.

On an unorthodox mission to retrieve an ailing CEO from the wellness centre he’s been dispatched to, a young executive finds more than he expected – and probably not too much wellness. Stylistically the trailer veers between The Haunting and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. Aside from undoubtedly giving up a few of the film’s key moments the trailer builds to a chilling climax, and gives us more questions than answers.

Dane DeHaan leads the film with (hello to) Jason Isaacs, Mia Goth and Celia Imrie joining in Verbinski’s good healthy fun. The director made his name in Hollywood with the Pirates of the Caribbean films, as well as the 2002 remake of The Ring.

There’s a disconcerting element to the visuals on offer here. DeHaan looks a lot like Shutter Island era DiCaprio and the basic similarities don’t appear to end there.

A Cure for Wellness is released in UK cinemas on the 24th of March, 2017.
