We’re only a few weeks away from the release of Skyfall, which sees Daniel Craig reprising his role once more as James Bond, and the campaign promoting it has been gearing up heavily in recent weeks.

Earlier tonight we saw a great new US TV spot teasing some great new footage, and now a brilliant 7-minute preview of the film’s score, composed by Thomas Newman, has debuted online.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Newman is a ten-time Oscar nominee, whose credits include American Beauty, Road to Perdition, and The Iron Lady, and with a soundtrack as high-profile as the latest James Bond film, we could well see him earn his eleventh nomination in January when the nominees are announced.

Craig will be arriving on the big screen in a matter of weeks, starring alongside an all-star cast headed up by Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench.

Sam Mendes (American Beauty) is making his Bond debut behind the camera, directing from a script written by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres on 26th October here in the UK. In the US, it will be arriving in IMAX on 8th November, a day before going wide in theatres on 9th November. Whilst we eagerly await its arrival, here’s just under seven minutes of Newman’s anticipated score. Enjoy.
