The nightmare isn’t over. Sony Pictures has dropped the first trailer for ’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,’ the next instalment in the iconic horror franchise originally crafted by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland. This time, the world is reimagined under the vision of acclaimed director Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels), who takes the post-apocalyptic saga in a bold new direction.

Set nearly three decades after the outbreak that decimated humanity, the story expands upon the chilling universe but turns it on its head. At its centre is Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes), whose shocking new relationship threatens to reshape the fragile remnants of society. Meanwhile, Spike (Alfie Williams) finds himself drawn into the orbit of the sinister Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell), only to realise the real nightmare has just begun.

In The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest danger—human survivors themselves reveal a twisted, inhuman cruelty that could be even more terrifying. Brutality, betrayal, and the collapse of morality hang heavy over a world already on the edge.

The film also stars Erin Kellyman (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Chi Lewis-Parry in key roles that bring both heart and menace to the harrowing tale.
