If you’ve seen Kiefer Sutherland’s latest TV role as President Kirkman in Designated Survivor you may have experienced the haze of a strange post-24 hangover. Whenever Sutherland as the ‘man who should never have been’ President gets into a spot of hot water I expect a full on “Dammit, Chloe!” tirade and for him to jump through the nearest White House window, off to clobber some bad guys.
What this has to do with the launch of a new trailer for the next step in the real time 24 series is this: we want a cross-over. It would blow minds to have former Jack Bauer be saved by new 24 front man Corey Hawkins. It’ll never happen but this is up there with Mulder and Scully waltzing into Twin Peaks.
Anyhoo – here’s the new trailer for 24: Legacy. Miranda Otto and Jimmy Smits star alongside Hawkins (A West Wing cross-over then? Please?).
The show debuts next year on Fox, we’ll have more news about the UK details as soon as we have them. It’ll be interesting to see how the show works without the core team. But pulse-pounding action is on the cards once again, and remember…
