Jennifer Lawrence returns to the big screen in House at the End of the Street this Friday, a nice pre-Halloween horror/thriller to prep us for the coming fright fest next month.

Her next feature, Silver Linings Playbook, took the People’s Choice Award at TIFF at the weekend, marking yet another brilliant role from the increasingly rising and diverse star.

We got a look inside the special effects of the film earlier in the month, and now three new clips from the film have debuted online, including one of Lawrence singing from Yahoo Movies, giving us a little taste of the thrills we have in store.

“Seeking a fresh start, newly divorced Sarah (Oscar(R)-nominee Elisabeth Shue; Leaving Las Vegas, Piranha 3D) and her daughter Elissa (Oscar(R)-nominee Jennifer Lawrence; X-Men: First Class, Winter’s Bone) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot, My Soul to Take), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.”

Max Thieriot, Elisabeth Shue, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Gil Bellows star alongside Lawrence, with Mark Tonderai behind the camera, directing from a script by David Loucka, based on an original story by Jonathan Mostow.

House at the End of the Street will be released in the UK and US this Friday, 21st September. This weekend is a very full one in the US, with the release of The Master going wide, Dredd 3D, Trouble with the Curve, End of Watch, Cherry, and a limited release of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and it’s going to be very interesting to see which film comes out on top, or if Resident Evil: Retribution will reign for another week. For now, here are the three new clips to enjoy.
