Rejoice Netflix fans! Your latest binge-watch has been renewed and is coming back for a second season – yes, 13 Reasons Why, the huge new original series from the subscription service has been picked up for another go-round and we join you in being very, very excited!

If you have been living under a rock for the past few months, 13 Reasons Why is the adaptation of the book by Jay Asher, which was first released in 2007. The show runs for 13 episodes in season one and will do similar in season two which will pick up almost immediately after the events of those episodes and the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s death as the characters learn to recover from the tragedy.

Critics have raved about the show – The Hollywood Reporter called it “a honorably mature piece of young-adult adaptation” while Entertainment Weekly said it was “a frank, authentically affecting portrait of what it feels like to be young, lost and too fragile for the world”. We here at HeyUGuys love the show just as much but as we are a little bit behind, we still have lots to catch up on!

The show stars Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn, Miles Heizer, Ross Butler, Amy Hargreaves as well as Derek Luke (Antwone Fisher), Steven Weber (Leaving Las Vegas) and Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy).

No word on when Season 2 will air but the debut series of 13 Reasons Why is available now to watch on Netflix.
