1. The Joker

Blind Spot

Heath Ledger’s tragic death meant that moviegoers only got to see his award winning take on The Joker the one time, and while it’s hard to imagine any other actor coming close to his incredible performance, it would be great to see Gotham answer the questions that The Dark Knight didn’t.

Firstly, how did he get those scars? Well, it’s worth noting that he doesn’t actually have scars in the comic books. Instead, it’s believed that he was transformed into the hideous maniac you see above after plunging into a vat of chemicals while battling The Batman. At that time, the unidentified villain was known as the Red Hood, and he ran an entire gang whose sole goal was to plunge Gotham City into chaos, fleecing its citizens while they were at it.

This would be the perfect way to introduce the iconic bad guy, perhaps waiting until the finale to turn him into The Joker.

  1. I’d love to see them do something with the court of owls, but I think that May be too batman focused of a story line. That was one of my favorite batman storylines in a while

  2. I think this show will be like Arrow in a sense where they make a bunch of references to different characters in the Batman/DC universe. Very excited for this show.

  3. Very nearly included that in the list – seeing them play the same role in this series as the people running Gotham behind the scenes would be very cool. Hoping they’ll be used in the next Batman movie too though…

  4. The less known about the Joker the better. We should NEVER find out everything about him, it would ruin the character.
