Sound Of My Voice was one of the two films with Brit Marling premiering last year at Sundance, and both were received with great critical praise. With its US release just around the corner this weekend, we now have a great new set of images from the film to share with you.

Last month brought with it a great new trailer and poster for the film, followed by the first clip a few weeks ago, and we have IMDb to thank for these ten new images, focusing on the principal cast of Christopher Denham, Nicole Vicius, and Brit Marling.

“In SOUND OF MY VOICE, Peter (Christopher Denham) and Lorna (Nicole Vicius), a couple and documentary filmmaking team, infiltrate a mysterious group led by an enigmatic young woman named Maggie (Brit Marling). Intent on exposing her as a charlatan and freeing the followers from her grip, Peter and Lorna start to question their objective and each other as they unravel the secrets of Maggie’s underworld.”

Marling co-wrote the script with Zal Batmanglij, with whom she’s been working once more on her next film, The East, which co-stars Ellen Page, Alexander Skarsgård, Toby Kebbell, Patricia Clarkson, and Julia Ormond, and is sure to be one to look out for later this year or early next year.

Sound Of My Voice will be released in the US on 27th April, this Friday. If you’re reading this out in the States, the brilliant reviews it’s been getting would suggest it’s one to seek out. Alas, here in the UK, we don’t have a date scheduled for its release, but I remain optimistic that it’s just a matter of time. For now, the great new images for your viewing pleasure. As usual, you can click to enlarge.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
