Last time we had our beady little eyes on Henry Cavill’s Superman he was being buried six feet under after, presumed dead. But thanks to a post-credit scene a sign of life was witnessed from the hulking Man of Steel, and with newly released promo art for Justice League featuring Superman it’s pretty much a done deal, he will be back.

Ever since we have had the odd nugget fed to us that the man in the blue lycra suit isn’t dead and could be heading back to our screens in the upcoming Justice League. Henry Cavill posted the first image to Instagram of what appears to be the black Superman suit he might be wearing in “Justice League.” The image is close up, so you can’t see much.

Also back in March, Zack Synder also teased during an interview the caped crusader could very well be making a comeback

“It was always a super-intriguing concept to me to have this opportunity to have him make that sacrifice but also have him be this, in a weird sort of way, the why of Justice League: What do you do now with him? What does the team think? What does the world need? All that comes into play. It’s fun for us but it’ll be interesting for audiences what we do with him.”

The promo for Justice League comes in the form of concession stand memorabilia from Goldenlink consisting of cups and popcorn boxes to figurines.

Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash— it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
