Playing such a distinctive, contemporary figure on the silver screen is no easy task, but one that Ben Foster has risen to, portraying the shamed cyclist Lance Armstrong, in the forthcoming Stephen Frears picture, The Program.

We asked Foster whether he needs to like the characters he plays in order to embody them, and why he decided to take performance enhancing drugs as part of his research for the role.

The below video features Foster discussing the forthcoming Duncan Jones’ endeavour Warcraft, as he explains why he’s so excited for the film’s release, believing it to push the boundaries of 3D entertainment.

The Program is released on October 16th. Check back on HeyUGuys later in the week for our interviews with Stephen Frears and David Walsh.
