Whilst there is a melancholy beauty set within the eerie tones of the trailer, all appears to be well at first as Clarke, who plays the hired young nurse, Verena, is brought into the fold to help a young boy come out of his self-induced silence after his mother dies. However, after a series of strange events that almost drives her insane, she becomes a victim of abduction and sinister supernatural incidents eventually showing her in a broken state.

Voice from the Stone has been adapted from the Italian novel ‘La Voce Della Pietra’ by Silvio Raffo who is not just an ordinary author but is a prolific translator of English and American women writers such as Emily Bronte and Emily Dickinson and adapted their work from English into Italian.

First-time feature director Eric D. Howell, who is better known for his stunt work through the 90’s and 2000’s, takes the helm behind the camera on what promises to be a chilling story that showcases Clarke’s talent for eclectic roles.

Voice from the Stone is currently set for release in cinemas and Digital HD  on April 28.
