Not too long ago Vin Diesel used his Facebook page to inform fans of David Twohy’s Riddick films that the script for the proposed third movie had been completed. Diesel has now posted on his Facebook page:
“The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting.”
As a fan of both Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick I welcome the update, but at the same time I am only taking it with a grain of salt. The reason for this slight skepticism is that there have been so many issues regarding any future Riddick sequels/prequels that the apparent completed script and now location scouting seem a bit out of the blue. Hopefully the film has secured its budget and pre-production is in fact underway.
