Thurman and Biel will star opposite Gerard Butler (Law Abiding Citizen) in the Robbie Fox-scripted sports film.
Playing The Field centers on a troubled father and former semi-pro soccer player (Butler), who tries to make up for lost time by coaching his son’s team.
Thurman has been cast as a woman on the prowl for Butler’s character, while Biel will play Butler’s ex-wife.
Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) is attached to direct, with filming expected to begin next month.
