Anne Hathaway and James Franco (currently starring in Fox’s Rise of the Apes) could be donning the space suits and avoiding those face-huggers in the Damon Lindelof-penned origin tale.
They’ll no doubt be more young Hollywood names being bandied around in the coming weeks as the production gathers momentum, but the pairing of these two sounds like a solid choice.

I agree. Good, solid casting so far on this one. Portman, Franco & Hathaway young but not inexperienced. Good looking but very talented actors. Franco about to blow up with 127 hours. Don’t seem like obvious fodder, so should help avoid the whole “well, they’re obviously not going to make it” thing.

Portman peaked in Leon. She and Winona Ryder are probably the worst actresses I have ever seen in a Hollywood blockbuster.
